Hello families back down into village after all successfully reaching the summit and getting back down again safely. A real challenge but feeling elated that the whole panther team worked together to make it, despite having to get up at an unearthly 3.30 am! Day 4 of hike was an absolute breeze because we're all becoming hard core! Unfortunately rained on campsite but whilst we all ran for the shelter of the communal tent the Berbers relished the change in weather. Hot and sunny on Day 5 to go up and over a final mountain range before enjoying lunch in the shade of a walnut tree and then saying a sad farewell to the muleteers- they have been absolutely amazing. Coming back to the village felt like being in a city after the isolation of the mountains but we celebrated with a well deserved coke. The guest house was the ultimate in luxury... it even had hot water and, amazingly, flushing toilets! We will update tonight after the first day of our project.
